Become a Mentor

To become a Compass Student Mentor, interested students must complete an online application during the fall semester previous to the academic year they would like to be a mentor.

In addition, candidates will answer four essays including the following:

A. Why do you want to serve as a Student Mentor? (Returning Mentors, please indicate how this position has enhanced your experience, and why you wish to come back?)

B. Describe your familiarity with challenges first generation, GLBTQ, students with access needs, undocumented and/or students of color may face as first year students.

C. What do you expect to gain from the experience of being a member of the Compass Mentor Program?

D. What are the main contributions you expect to make to the Compass Mentor Program?

This year's application deadline is December 10th, 2021.
